

You may like them perfectly on top, or hanging over. Either way, they look lovely. And don't think that they all have to match. With handmade pieces, a few different patterns in the same colour work well. However, if your style is all matching furniture, etc., then stick to what works for you. And remember, depending on their size, doilies can be used for coasters, cocktail napkins, tea napkins, dinner napkins, placemats and traymats.

Much of the work is shadow embroidery which is heavy cross stitching on the backside, to show through the pattern on the top.
Here you are paying for not only the fine workmanship, but the quality of linen used.

In/Out of Stock - Hand embroidered, cream-coloured linen doilies and runners.
These are very nice and while they start as a dark cream, they become a light cream as they are washed.
They have a little cutwork on the borders and drawnwork within some of the flowers.
Small sections of tatting at either end of the oblong pieces are a beautiful finishing touch.

Reticella lace is the successor of more refined Venice lace, but it's lasting quality is equal.
