Bedspreads Coverlets
We say bedspread, but find that many of you call it a coverlet.
The difference is that a coverlet is just to cover the mattress while a bedspread goes to the floor and can be tucked over the pillows.
In the case of these handmade bedspreads, the name 'coverlet' is probably more appropriate.
Anyway, they are beautiful, and everybody should have at least one to show off to company.
If you're like Kim, you'll have one strictly for personal satisfaction.
She doesn't take it off at bed time - the whole idea, is to lay in luxury.

Quilts

Sheet Sets with Shams
I could say the same thing that I said above. I will add that they are made of a good quality cotton, using tightly woven, long soft fibres. We don't know the thread count, and it is not as good as Egyption cotton, but they wash softer and softer. I never iron mine, I just fold them smooth. You may want to iron the embroidered top of the sheet, and the pillowshams for show.

Bed Skirts

Pillowcases
These are usually sold in pairs. When in stock, you will find hand embroidered, appliqué, cutwork, lace, drawnwork and cross stitch. White on white, white with colour, and colour with colour. Standard, standard/queen, and king sizes. It will all depend on what we can find at the time, and at the right price.

Pillow Shams
These are the final touch to any bed. They don't have to match, and they work well, even if you use printed sheets and bedspreads. When in stock, you will find every size, including the european 26" square. Also every design: hemstitch, cutwork, lace, drawnwork & embroidery, with all the combinations.

Boudoir Shams
Sometimes known as "Baby Shams".

Cushion Covers
Everybody loves cushions. On the bed, on the couch, on the floor, anywhere one might sit or lay. Ours are plain to fancy, cotton to linen, and they wash, bleach and dye.

Dresser Scarves
Go directly to Runners & Doilies, to see what we have available now.

Window Curtains
Hand embroidered window curtains.

Shower Curtains
With Battenburg lace or cutwork braid.
NB: We will not carry prints or solids.

Guest Towels/Bath Towels
One should always have these diplayed in their bathroom, and not just for guests. It makes you feel better when the bathroom looks good. We've had some people say they don't want anyone to touch them, and other's complain that no-one will. After hanging a while, they need to be washed to brighten and revive the fabric. If you want guests to use them, temporarily take away your terry towels so they have no choice. If you don't, make sure there is a nice stack, or rolls of terry towels, obviousely placed on the side of the sink.

It is unlikely anyone will touch your beautiful bath towels, unless they are staying the night, and you have put away the terry. Not everyone will like using them, but if you haven't tried it, you should. I first used this type of bath towel in Italy. This is all they had. I liked it except for my hair. I have very long hair, and need a big terry towel to absorb the extra water. So mine are strictly for show. I'm not about to iron that often anyway. Kim, of course, laps in the luxury of it all.

Tissue Box Covers
These are right in style now. You'll see a lot of hard covers out there, but we think these are so much nicer.

Toilet Tissue Holders
You have to have extra toilet tissue so wrap them up in something pretty. These holders are the perfect answer, especially in the guest bathroom.

Sachets & Potpourri
Wonderful to decorate with, and keep your home smelling sweet and fragrant.
