Free additional pounds for DHL express if order is $250.00 or more (you pay first pound).
Please note:
1. Orders weighing under 500 grams/1 pound will be sent immediately without confirmation (unless there is a question).
2. Orders must be of sufficient retail value (not sales only) for free additional pounds via express mail.
3. Orders of $200.00 or more must go via Expess mail for insurance purposes.
4. At Christmas time, orders will be shipped without confirmation if shipping price is considered reasonable by me.

Note: $2.00 service charge on orders under $15.00 to defray credit card bank charges, packaging and labour.

How & How Much

Registered Airmail: This is for very small packages, like a single hanky or small doily for the starting price, and takes about the same time as Air Parcel Post. The price will start at $3.20 and go up $0.40 every 10 grams. This can work out to be several dollars cheaper than Air Parcel Post. If we don't register it, the price will be $2.50 less. This will be at your risk though with no guarantee of replacement if it's lost in the mail. If you choose air parcel post (below) but I can send it cheaper by registered airmail, then I will make the change to save you money.

Sea Parcel Post/Surface: Starts at $5.50 for the first 500 grams and should take 4-8 weeks to the U.S. Order at least 2 months in advance for Christmas. This option is not recommended for small packages. They are too easily lost. If you choose this, and I think it is unsafe, I will automatically change your shipping to air parcel for $7.65, or registered airmail if the weight/price is between $5.50 and $7.65. On the contrary, if I can send it cheaper by registered surface mail (under $5.50), I will do that.

Air Parcel Post: Starts at $7.65 for the first 500 grams and should take 5 days-2 weeks to the U.S. If your order is very light, it isn't much more than sea parcel post and worth the $2.15 difference. However, for heavy linens, it can be almost double that of sea parcel post.

Note: all the above delivery times are averages, suggested by The Bermuda Post Office in conjunction with The US Postal Service, and in no way can be predicted or guaranteed.

UPS/FedEx: Charge by the pound, starting at UPS $43.00, FedEx (fluctuates), and take 1-2 days. Expensive, but very reliable if you're in a hurry.

Pick-up: Free at The House of Linens, Bermuda shop.

Procedure: For the time being, shipping weights and prices have not been added to the linens.
If your order is under 500 grams/1 pound in weight, I will charge your order and ship it immediately at the above mentioned prices, according to your choice.
Otherwise:
If it is more than 500 grams/1 pound, I will E-mail you with your shipping options and prices.
I will not include DHL/UPS/FedEx unless you ask for it, or the value of your order warrants insurance.
(Note: they do not allow me to charge to your Express accounts in Bermuda)
You finalize the order by replying to my e-mail with your choice of shipping methods.
Then, if you are paying by credit card, you will be charged.
If you happen to be coming to Bermuda, please visit me at my new location.
You can order in advance and then pick-up from the shop if you like.

Please Note: So many people think that I can tell them exactly when packages sent via the post office will arrive.
Imagine this: you put a letter in the post, sending it to friends or family in another State.
Sometimes they get in quickly, sometimes it seems to take forever.
But at no time can you predict exactly when it will arrive or where exactly it is at any given time, can you?
Please understand that I am in the same position and getting angry with me or questioning whether I actually sent it will not speed up the process.
If time is of the essence then you must have me send your order by DHL Express.
For next day delivery, you must have me send it by FedEx.
If you haven't received an air parcel post/registered airmail package in 4 weeks, or a sea parcel post/registered surface mail in 8 weeks, then the post office will allow me to trace it.
I absolutely want you to let me know then.
The arrival of your order is as important to me as it is to you.
If it doesn't arrive, I not only take the blame, I foot the bill to replace it (Bermuda Post Office does not insure packages).
Please read my guarantees and rest assured that there are no scams going on here.
Finally, I apologize for my bluntness.
It's just that I lose much too much time answering e-mails of this nature within the first week of mailing an order.
Time I desperately need to do everything else :)

Payment:
Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and all Bermuda credit and debit cards (Discover Card is not international yet).
Local personal checks and foreign bank drafts/money orders.
Travellers checks if they belong to you, the customer.
Do not send Cash - by hand only.

Important Notes:
Money orders for goods under $100.00 will be subject to a $3.00 bank processing fee.
Over $100.00 and I will absorb the fee.
Do not send money orders without confirming the total price with shipping and $3.00 bank fee.
Do not send foreign (other than Bermuda) personal checks unless you are willing to wait up to 3 weeks for clearance.
Keep in mind that Money Orders can take 5 days to 2 weeks on average to reach me - maybe longer.
