Our Linens

Imported from Belgium, China, Italy, and India, we carry mostly hand made pieces made from pure linen, linen/cotton, 100% cotton, polyester/cotton and polyester. We will only carry machine made linens if we like the quality or the price is so good that you can't go wrong. We will never sell you anything machine made under the guise of handmade. If it is machne made, it will say so.

At The House of Linens, Bermuda, you get much more than what you pay for. Many of our linens have such low prices, that you can't believe they are handmade. We promise they are! Some of our linens, particularly those in the "Special Order Linens" section, are very high in price. You can bet that these took someone up to 6 months to make, and that they used the highest quality materials.

Everything we carry is machine washable, and most can be bleached if needed. Be sure to read our "Helpful Hints" page for instructions, and let us know if you need any help.

Their Linens
There are sites selling hand embroidered linens at extremely inflated prices. Don't think that you have to pay these prices to get high quality linens. And whether the prices are high or low, be wary of words like "handmade in Madeira", "Seal of Authenticity", "French thread", etc.

There are, however, very reputable firms on the web, selling high quality linens, that are worth the price they are charging. Look for signs that the company is knowledgable and experienced, and not just trying to sell you something. Make sure that they are easy to contact, and not just an e-mail address. Ask questions. If you see something you like, but you aren't sure, feel free to ask us. We will give you our unbiased opinion, and gladly give you the green light if we like what we see.

There are many linens from Ireland, Madeira and France that we do not carry, because of their high wholesale prices. These are maginificent linens, and can be found on the web with the right companies. If you are in the market for this type of linen, we can and will help you.
